Magate experts are concerned that “over the past day, the largest Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in Europe has been losing communication with the power line.” This is stated in the statement of the organization published on its website.
Now the ZAES is connected to the Ukrainian energy network, added to the organization. “All security systems remained in working condition,” the authors of the document emphasize with reference to the general director of the station.
Nevertheless, as a result of these incidents, the reactors of the nuclear power plant were temporarily disconnected from the network, so that their emergency protection systems worked.
General Director of Magate Rafael Mariana Grossy expressed “deep concern about nuclear security at the facility that is controlled by Russian forces, but is still served by Ukrainian personnel,” and emphasized the urgency of the visit to the station of independent experts of the agency.
Grossi recalled that three of the four high -voltage power lines connecting the ZAES with the Ukrainian energy system were injured during shelling and stopped performing their function.
