Arkady Dvorkovich was again elected president of the International Chess Federation (FIDE).
The elections took place at the FIDE Congress in Indian Chennai. The rival of the Russian was Ukrainian Andrei Barishpolets. As a result, Dvorkovich received 157 votes, and his opponent – only 16.
As you know, the team of Arkady Dvorkovich also includes the president of the Chess Federation of Azerbaijan, Vice President of FIDE MAKHIR MAMDOV. He was re -elected to this post and at least in the next four years he will continue to work for the benefit of world chess.
