The candidate for prime minister of Armenia from the opposition Movement to Save the Motherland, Vazgen Manukyan, urged his supporters to block all entrances and exits of the Armenian parliament. He said this during a rally on Tuesday, March 9, Sputnik-Armenia reports.
“Go ahead, set up tents, block that entrance so that no MP can enter the building,” Manukyan said.
He noted that they need to be here every night from 200 to 300 people who would protect the audience, the tents. According to him, blocking the building of the National Assembly will be the opposition’s response to what is happening.
Manukyan noted that the National Assembly will convene when it is ready to make a decision “that suits the people and the state.”
