US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that they will transfer Ukraine’s proposal to the Russian side to the Russian side: “We hope they say yes. Now the ball is on the Russian side,” he said.
He spoke before the press after the negotiations between the delegations of the United States and Ukraine in Jidd (Saudi Arabia).
Commenting on the course of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Rubio said: “There is no military decision of this war.”
He noted that the path to the cessation of war and achieve the peaceful goal set by US President Donald Trump lies through negotiations.
According to the Secretary of State, just such a scenario “wants” Trump: “But before negotiations, the parties must stop shooting at each other.”
He said that Ukraine agrees to such a situation, the next step will convey this to the Russians.
Rubio said that they will give the Russian side a proposal to cease to be positive to which Ukraine belongs positively: “We hope that they will say“ yes ”. Now the ball is on the side of the Russians.”
