The exhibition “Color dreams of Azerbaijan” opens in the Radishchevsky Museum of Saratov.
According to Russian media information, more than a hundred works of painting and graphics of thirty -five artists of the past and present centuries, as well as carpets woven by folk masters of the XIX century, will show at the exhibition.
Most of the exhibits are provided by the Marjani Foundation, which has one of the largest collections of Muslim and, in particular, Azerbaijani art.
“Decorative and lyrical landscapes, portraits, images of fairy -tale beauties, sages and dzhigits, dragons and divas are rafting at an exhibition in a single colorful extravaganza – a single view of Azerbaijan from the inside of his original culture. A look that can be serious and biased, love and loved ironic, ”the announcement of the exhibition says.
The exhibition takes place in the year of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Azerbaijan. It will last until August 21.
Shigabutdin Marjani (1818 – 1889) – Tatar theologian, Sheikh of the Sufi Brotherhood of Nakshbandiyi, philosopher, historian, enlightener. As a thinker of a common -Muslim scale, he turned to social problems and issues of updating the spiritual life of Muslims in modern society.
