Residents of the city of Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, USA) – 100 year old Bernie Littman and 102 -year -old Mardzhori Fitterman filed an application for entering the Guinness Book of Records as a couple older than 100 years.
According to Fox News, the couple’s wedding ceremony took place in the nursing home.
The granddaughter of Littman, Sarah Zecherman says that the couple applied for the entry of Guinness Book of Records, because he considers such an age to marry a record late.
According to the woman, Bernie Littman is a musician by profession, his previous marriage lasted 65 years, and after the death of his wife, his grandfather settled in a nursing home, where he met Fitterman.
Zecherman said that Fitterman also lost her husband, with whom she was married 60 years old.
It is noteworthy that Bernie Littman and Marjori Fitterman were once studied at the same university, but then they were not familiar with each other.
The romantic relationship between future newlyweds began nine years ago.
“Grandfather greatly surprised us when he said that he wanted to marry. We said that we could organize a modest ceremony, but he insisted at the registry office, and they got married,” the woman added.
