Matvienko: Russia has no plans on invasion of Ukraine

“The leadership of our country does not plan to attack Ukraine, and 80 percent of Russians consider Ukrainians by the fraternal people.” This was stated by Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko at a press conference.

Recall that on December 4, the AP agency reported that, according to American intelligence, Russia plans to invade Ukraine in early 2022 with the participation of 175 thousand military. The Washington Post newspaper noted that the attack could occur simultaneously in several directions: from the north of an annexed Crimea, through the territory controlled by separatists in the east and from the northern border of Ukraine.
