The deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev suggested that the European Union (EU) may disappear earlier than he accepts Ukraine. The politician wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
Medvedev compared the EU promises to adopt Ukraine with the latest version of the CPSU program from 1961, where they promised that “the current generation of Soviet people would live under communism.” He recalled that the USSR broke up, the CPSU was liquidated, and the promises did not come true.
“The situation related to the onset of universal happiness in the Union reminds me of the spells made by the European Commission against the candidate for Ukraine … What if (I was knocking on wood) and the EU will disappear by this time? It is terrible to think what a scandal will be, because What sacrifices were brought to the altar of joining the EU and what deceit of the expectations of the unfortunate Ukrainians? Ugh -pah, so as not to jinx … ” – wrote the deputy chairman.
