Russia has always been ready for negotiations on settling the situation in Ukraine, but any negotiations imply oncoming steps that correspond to the real situation “on Earth”. This was stated by RIA Novosti Deputy Chairman of the Council of Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, answering the question of whether Moscow is ready for compromises to get out to resolve the situation in Ukraine.
“We have always been ready for negotiations, and any negotiations imply oncoming steps. But only such steps towards the real situation on Earth and our basic law. And you can only speak with people who are ready to communicate,” Medvedev said.
Answering the question of who can be said to Russia in Ukraine, the politician said that there are no “normal interlocutors” in this country.
Speaking about the prospects of European leaders and their countries, after the support of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, whose meeting with US President Donald Trump did not work out in the White House, the politician indicated that “Europe is a weak grumpy old woman who is vital for US custody.”
The deputy chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars of the Russian Federation also commented on the words of the head of the European Diplomacy of Kai Callas that the “free world” needs a new leader.
