Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev in his Telegram channel said that the current situation looks more dangerous than during the Cold War.
“I note once again. Now the situation is much worse than the Cold War. A lot worse! And we are not to blame for it,” he wrote.
Medvedev emphasized that the United States, as he expected, will apply to Russia for a new agreement on limiting nuclear potentials, which will replace START-3, which expires in 2026.
“Baiden reluctantly spat out that, even during the Cold War of the USSR and the United States, they discussed security issues and found compromises,” the politician noted.
The deputy head of the Security Council responded to Washington’s proposal skeptical.
“We need it at all? The world has become different,” he summed up.
