In the capital of Hungary, Budapest met with the Azerbaijani community and meeting of the Coordination Council of the Azerbaijanis of Europe. This Haqqin.az reported in the press service of the State Committee on Diaspora Azerbaijan.
At the meeting at the House of Azerbaijan, employees of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora (GKD), representatives of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Hungary, Coordinators of the Coordination Council and community members.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan in Hungary Tahir Tagizade in his speech at the event, highly appreciated the role of the State Committee for Working with Diaspora in Consolidation and the organizational formation of Azerbaijanis living abroad. The ambassador noted that the role of the embassy and Diaspora is invaluable in terms of strengthening the victory surrounded in the Patriotic War and in the diplomatic sphere. Stressing that Hungary is strategic importance for our country, the diplomat stated that such factors as an increase in the number of compatriots living here, training more than 900 Azerbaijani students, are important in terms of protecting the interests of Azerbaijan. The ambassador also spoke about future joint projects in the framework of cooperation between the State Committee and Embassy.
Deputy Chairman of the State Administration Elshad Aliyev, noted that a new stage began in the activities of the Azerbaijani diaspora. According to him, today, 13 houses of Azerbaijan have been created through the State Diaspora State Committee in 10 countries of the world, and 13 coordination committees were established in 25 countries. At the initiative and on behalf of the first vice-president, Mehriban Hanoi Aliyeva in four countries open Sunday Azerbaijani schools called “Karabakh”. Azerbaijani children living abroad are studying in these schools to Azerbaijani, literature and history.
Azerbaijan’s house in Budapest from the date of foundation became the place of consolidation of Azerbaijanis, and in the Pandemic period, the Azerbaijanis turned out to be moral and charitable assistance. The meeting was particularly noted the need to create a Sunday school, radio stations and other means of education and agitation.
Then a meeting of the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis of Eastern Europe was held. Coordinators made reports of the work done.
