Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev accepted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan. This was reported by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on the social network x.
The head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry is on a working visit to Baku.
“Minister Hakan Fidan was admitted to Baku by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev,” the report said.
The Foreign Minister of Turkey is also planned to meet his Azerbaijani colleague Jayhun Bayramov.
It is expected that during the meeting, bilateral issues will be discussed in the field of politics, defense, energy, trade and transport.
The meeting also plans to discuss the steps that can be taken to achieve the targeted indicator of the total trade between the two countries of $ 15 billion, as well as the work that needs to be carried out for the further development of cooperation in all areas, including in the field cultures, tourism, healthcare, education and agriculture.
It is expected that Hakan Fidan will also exchange opinions with his Azerbaijani colleague on issues related to the immediate region and the global agenda. In particular, we are talking about a peaceful process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as events in Syria, Gas sector and Ukraine.
