The Ministry of Health met with a working visit in Azerbaijan by the regional director of the World Bank for the Development of Human Capital in Europe and Central Asia Fadia Saada.
According to the press service of the Ministry, the Minister of Health Teymur Musaev, welcoming guests, emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with the World Bank: “Improvement of the healthcare system, especially its digitalization and development of human capital, is a priority issue for our country. And therefore, cooperation with the World Bank in various fields is of particular importance from the point of view of the application of advanced international experience. “
Teimur Musaev noted that regular meetings of the Ministry of Health with the missions of the World Bank give a powerful impetus to strengthen cooperation.
Having expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and high hospitality, Fadi Saada emphasized fruitful cooperation between the World Bank and Azerbaijan, and also expressed support for the reforms carried out in the healthcare system of Azerbaijan. According to her, the purpose of the visit to Baku is to discuss the potential support of the World Bank to the Azerbaijani government for the development of human capital and the implementation of the “Strategy for the Socio-Economic Development of the Azerbaijan Republic for 2022-2026”.
During the meetings, the current state and further prospects for the development of cooperation were discussed, as well as new opportunities for the implementation of joint projects.
