On September 23, within the framework of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Secretary General of the Council of Cooperation of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf Nahya Falach Mubarak Al-Hadzraf.
According to the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, the meeting was noted that the political relations between Azerbaijan and member countries of the Council of Cooperation of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf are at a high level based on mutual respect and friendship.
was expressed confidence that the Azerbaijan Business Forum – the Persian Bay, which will be held in Baku, will create favorable conditions for the further development of this cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, investment and tourism.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed in detail the opposite side of the post-conflict situation in the region, in particular about the mine threat and its consequences, restoration work on the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. The interest of member countries of the Council of Cooperation of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf to participate in joint projects on the construction of the lands of Azerbaijan was highly appreciated.
The Secretary General noted that the position of Azerbaijan on the completed conflict was always unambiguously and fully supported by the Council of Cooperation of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf.
Parties discussed opportunities to expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council, including the development of a joint action plan for 2021-2025, as well as issues of regional and international security.
