The Mausoleum of the founder of the Turkish Republic of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in Ankara hosted a solemn ceremony in connection with the day of national sovereignty and children and the 103rd anniversary of the start of the work of the Turkish parliament.
The speaker of the Turkish parliament Mustaf Schentop laid a wreath to the mausoleum of the great leader. After that, a minute of silence was venerated by Ataturk’s memory. The state anthem of Turkey sounded.
The ceremony was attended by the Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktai, the head of the opposition People’s Republican Party (CHP) of Turkey Kemal Kylychdaroglu, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Vedat Bilgin, deputies, parliamentary workers, representatives of political parties.
The speaker of the parliament left an entry in the book of honored guests.

Children from dozens of countries of the world in national outfits visit the Mausoleum of the founder of the Turkish Republic on this day – Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, lay flowers in memory of the great statesman.
Children’s Day coincides with the start of the first convocation of the Great National Assembly (Parliament) in 1920 in Ankara.
