Immediately after the liberation of the territories occupied for almost 30 years, the operations of the cleaning of territories strongly contaminated with mines and unexploded ammunition were launched. In these operations, along with the relevant state structures, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is directly involved.
As reported by HaqQin.Az in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, over the past period, thanks to the coordinated activities of state structures, a large territory was purified from mines and unexploded ammunition. They are currently recovery and construction work.
At the same time, in regret, it is noted that, along with mines and unexploded ammunition, numerous explosive items made by the enemy are found on the territories exempted from occupation. Here it is possible to allocate objects of various purposes (household, economic utensils, children’s toys, etc.) – the explosives placed in them are able to lead to large tragedies at the slightest touch.
The greatest danger of these items is that they are deceptive from the point of view of appearance, in many cases they look attractive and interesting for children. Due to various meteorological factors, including local villages, such items are encountered and around settlements near the liberated land.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan recommends citizens living in settlements about the territories liberated from the occupation, at the sight of unknown items, without triggering into them, call and report it to the hot line of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
