Microsoft 365: Global Problem With Software In Some Applications And Services Is Saved

Microsoft 365 announced that the global problem with software in some applications and services is maintained, but, according to the measurements, it moves towards improvement.

Currently, work is underway to eliminate the global problem with the software that affected the enterprise after the CROWDSTRIKE system failures, which provides Microsoft Cybersecurity services.

In the statement, Microsoft 365 shared the current situation regarding efforts to solve the problem, it is said that users may notice relief in their systems, but the problems continue in some applications and services of Microsoft 365.

“Our telemetry shows that other touched situations are moving to complete restoration, and we carefully monitor this,” the statement said, adding that work continues to restore other affected applications and services of Microsoft 365 from the ongoing effects.

The company reports that among the affected services were Microsoft Teams and the Microsoft 365 Management Center, and Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Onenote, OneDrive For Business, SharePoint Online, Windows 365 Viva Engage, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric and Powerbi were restored.

Crowdstrike, George Kurtz, in an interview with international media, said the problem was caused by a mistake in one of the updates.

noting that they quickly identified the problem and made corrections, Kurtz added: “At present, we are working with each of our customers to make sure that we can return them to the network.”

According to the manager’s statements, negative interaction arose between updating their systems and the Microsoft operating system. Kurtz emphasized: “This led to the failure of the computers and caused a global shutdown that continues to this day. We need to return and see what happened here, but it is unlikely that it was cyberataka. The problem was identified and it was eliminated. Some systems will need some time to return to normal work, but this will not happen automatically. “
