Microsoft said some groups supported by Iran intensified its cyber activity to influence the elections in the USA.
The Microsoft threat analysis center has published a cyberataki report aimed at presidential elections, which will be held on November 5 in the United States.
The report says that Iran conducted “Operations of influence with the help of cyberspace” during elections in the USA.
It emphasized that Iran has activated its cyber activity aimed at impact on the elections in the USA.
Some Iranian groups carried out cyber attacks on the accounts of e -mail of some government officials, the document is noted.
The report says that a group associated with the Corps of Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, in June, persecuted a “high -ranking official engaged in the presidential campaign” in order to collect confidential information.
The report emphasizes that the other Iranian group tried to enter the account of the former presidential candidate, but they failed, since Microsoft informed the user about this.
The report also contains information that the Iranian group created websites for two political groups that looked like news sites with a center in the USA, and thus tried to “strengthen polarization”.
