“Serbia, completely dependent on the supply of Russian gas, plans to purchase gas from Azerbaijan in 2023.” This was stated by the Minister of Energy of Serbia Zoran Mikhailovich, reports Reuters.
She noted that next year the construction of an interconnector from Serbia to the Bulgarian pipeline will be completed.
“We are currently negotiating with Azerbaijan on the reservation of gas capacities for the next year, because in September next year the Serbia -Bolgaria interconnector will be completed,” Mikhailovich said at the Energy Conference in Sarajevo.
Mikhailovich added that this interconnector is a source of vitality for Serbia.
Recall, the Greece-Bolgaria interconnector was completed last week. It allows you to transport Azerbaijani natural gas to Bulgaria, and from there to the rest of Europe. So far, Serbia was 100% dependent on the supply of Russian gas.
