Lebanese citizen Maral Najaryan, who took part in the hostilities against Azerbaijan in Karabakh, returned home to Beirut. Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the Armenian parliament from the “Prosperous Armenia” party, wrote about this on her Facebook page.
Let us remind you that Azeri Daily reported that Maral Najaryan, a Lebanese citizen of Armenian origin, came to Karabakh with her husband to fight against Azerbaijan. Her husband took part in the battles for Shusha, after which he disappeared without a trace. Maral Najaryan herself, who fought in the ranks of the Armenian armed formations as a sniper, was captured by the Azerbaijani military.
Today, in response to a request from haqqin.az, Ilaha Aliyeva, an employee of the Azerbaijani representative office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), stated that the committee assisted the return of Maral Najaryan to Lebanon. During her detention in Azerbaijan, the staff of the Committee visited her and created conditions for communication with her relatives.
The day before, Maral Najaryan was handed over to the Lebanese authorities.
