In Azerbaijan, military parades were held on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces.
Cadets and officers of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan walked marching along the streets of Baku with Turkish and Azerbaijani flags.
MARCH participants were accompanied by orchestras of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
The Military Ethnic Belief Orchestra “Mekhter” performed. The march aroused the interest of residents of the Azerbaijani capital. In addition to Baku, marches were held in the cities of Barda and Shusha.
On Monday, June 26, Azerbaijan celebrates the 105th anniversary of the founding of the country’s armed forces.
The foundations of the National Army of Azerbaijan were laid on June 26, 1918. On this day, by the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (Adr), the first military unit was created – a special Azerbaijani corps with a personnel of 5,000 military personnel based on the Muslim Corps formed from the former Tatar horse regiment under the command of General Aliagi Shikhlinsky.
