On behalf of the speaker, Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, work continues in the preparation of the new bill “On Political Parties” in parliament. 39 political parties that have passed state registration in our country have already submitted their proposals to the Milli Majlis under a new bill. This was reported in the press and public relations department of the Milli Majlis.
It is noted that in the process of developing a new bill, the experience of more than 20 countries in this area and the recommendations of the Venice Commission for the regulation of the activities of political parties adopted in 2010 and 2020 were taken into account.
In the Milli Majlis, public hearings are planned for a wide discussion of the new bill “On Political Parties”.
It is expected that the first public hearings will take place on September 28 this year.
