By the order of President Ilham Aliyev approved the “State program of teaching young people in the prestigious higher educational institutions of foreign countries for 2022-2026”. According to Haqqin.az, this was announced today at a press conference Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev.
The Minister noted that in 2022-2026, a total of up to 2,000 citizens of Azerbaijan (no more than 400 people per year) will be trained abroad. Within the framework of the program, higher education at the level of undergraduate and graduate in prestigious higher educational institutions abroad will be provided. Student training abroad will become possible since September: “Students can now apply for education. Preliminary lists will be made public until March 30.”
Amrullayev noted that the current program will differ from the previous ones.
“In the previous program, there were lists and students could choose a university in their choice. And in the new program will be indicated, where certain specialties are taught. Our experience shows that university ratings and ratings for certain specialties often do not coincide.”
Amrullayev also reported that a program will be developed for the further employment of young people studying abroad. The overwhelming majority of young people who completed the previous program returned to Azerbaijan. Many work in senior positions.
