In 2018-2021, annual social security costs increased by 2.4 billion manat, or 60%, up to 6.4 billion manat.
This was stated by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sakhil Babayev in an interview with the media during the opening ceremony of the children’s rehabilitation center in Gabal.
The Minister noted that during this period important social reforms were conducted, retirement, benefits, scholarships and address assistance were significantly increased.
Babayev stressed that the proceedings carried out also lead to an increase in the number of people covered by the Security: “The number of social benefits recipients increased by 160 thousand in 2018-2021 and reached 2.56 million.”
