Justice Minister Fickret Mamedov sent an appeal to the co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group and Ministers of Justice of all other member countries, leadership officials of the UN and Council of Europe on Human Rights, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross in connection with the death and injury on June 4 in the Kelbajar district of citizens Azerbaijan as a result of mines, established by Armenia.
In appeals noted that the land occupied for 30 years were released in the Patriotic War.
However, it was emphasized that, despite the repeated appeals of Azerbaijan and the appeals of the international community, Armenia, acting inhuman, intentionally, roughly violating international norms, including the 1949 UN Geneva Convention and the European Convention on Human Rights of 1950, did not provide Mine maps in order to prevent the return of Azerbaijanis to native land.
with regret it was noted that as a result of these criminal actions of Armenia against humanity after the war, more than 140 people were injured in mines established by Armenian occupiers. It was noted that the last tragic incident occurred on June 4 in the Kelbajar district of Azerbaijan, 3 people were killed as a result of the explosion, including two journalists who fulfill their professional debt, and several people were seriously injured.
In this regard, the Minister of Justice called on foreign colleagues and international human rights institutions to influence the strict implementation of international obligations of Armenia in connection with the issuance of mine maps.
