Minister Of Economics Of Slovakia Proposed To Turkey Joint Projects

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Slovakia Denis Sakov announced the importance of developing economic cooperation with Turkey.

Sakova spoke at an economic meeting Türkiye -Slovakia at a round table, where the Minister of Trade of Turkey Omer Bolat also attended.

According to the Slovak Minister, there are promising projects that can bring mutual benefits for both countries.

Sakova expressed satisfaction with her participation in the meeting, since, according to her, she has a unique goal – the development and deepening of cooperation between the companies of Slovakia and Turkey.

The minister noted that some Slovak companies are already working in Turkey and are satisfied with cooperation as part of the joint economic and trade committee (Jetco).

“The economy of Turkey and Slovakia depends on foreign trade and stable energy supplies, which in the future can become a challenge not only for us, but for all of Europe,” she said.

According to the minister, countries can develop joint projects that are profitable for both parties. She also drew attention to Turkey’s plans to invest 170 billion euros until 2040 as part of the Net Zero initiative and offered the support of Slovakia in the field of hydro-atomic energy, where the country has considerable experience.

Sakova expressed gratitude for the organization of the meeting, emphasizing that the productive dialogue with representatives of business and the energy sector of Turkey will become the basis for new successful projects.
