Minister Of Trade Of Turkey Discussed In Malaysia All Aspects Of Trade And Economic Relations

Turkish Minister of Omer Bolat, Prime Minister of Malaysia Anvar Ibrahim and Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Malaysia Tengku Zafrul Aziz met with leading investors and entrepreneurs of the country.

Bolat recalled that the Turkish delegation is in Malaysia as part of the Program of the Visis of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Turkish Minister noted that he held bilateral meetings with the Minister of Investments, Trade and Industry of Malaysia, as well as with the Prime Minister of this country.

“During the negotiations, we discussed all aspects of trade and economic relations between Turkey and Malaysia, as well as steps that can be taken to maintain the dynamics of the growth of trade and investment relations. In addition, we considered proposals to achieve a more balanced and sustainable structure of trade goods, ”said Bolat.

According to the Minister, Turkey and Malaysia, they decided to activate joint efforts in various fields, including product safety, accreditation of halal products, defense industry and investment.

“We will continue efforts aimed at increasing the volume of trade to $ 10 billion and the further development of trade and investment relations between Turkey and Malaysia,” Bolat noted.

– A meeting with investors and businessmen

The Minister also said that a meeting was held with active investors and businessmen of the country as part of a meeting of the World Council of Turkish Business (DTİK) in Malaysia.

During the meeting, steps were discussed that could be taken to achieve the target volume of trade between two countries of $ 10 billion, which was also indicated by President Erdogan, the wishes and proposals of business circles, he said.

“Türkiye is striving to take stronger positions in Malaysia, which is a gate to the Asian market,” the minister emphasized.
