Russian air defense forces (air defense) for the last night shot 45 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of aircraft type over five regions. This was reported to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Wednesday, August 21.

“Eleven UAVs destroyed over the territory of the Moscow region, another twenty -three UAVs were destroyed over the Bryansk region, six UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region, three over the Kaluga region and two over the Kursk region,” the Russian department said.

The Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha said that drones were destroyed in a deserted area on the border with the Bryansk region.

In turn, the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, said that the echeloned defense of the Russian capital made it possible to successfully repel all the attacks of the UAV.
