Russian air defense equipment (air defense) over the past night intercepted and destroyed 19 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over a number of regions. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Thursday, February 27.
“During the last night, the air defense systems were intercepted and destroyed by 19 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: 12 UAVs – above the territory of the Oryol region, three UAVs above the territory of the Kursk region, three UAVs above the territory of the Belgorod region and one UAV – above the territory of the Republic of Crimea,” follows the message.
Meanwhile, the Governor of the Oryol Region Andrei Klychkov announced the repelment of a mass attack of drones over the region.
“According to preliminary information, damage and victims,” Klychkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
In turn, the Governor of the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the city of Grainoron was attacked with the use of an UAV.
“As a result of the discharge of an explosive device from a drone to a car, a peaceful resident died. From the wounds received, the man died on the spot before the arrival of doctors,” the head of the region wrote in his Telegram channel.
“Another man received multiple fragmentation wounds of the head, back, arms and legs. The SMP brigade delivers the victim to the city hospital No. 2 of the city of Belgorod. All necessary assistance is provided. Information about the consequences is specified. Operational services work on the spot,” he outlined.
