Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine: As result of undermining Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, 10 people were killed

As a result of flooding due to the undermining of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in the Kherson and Nikolaev regions of Ura, ten people were killed, 42 people, including seven children, are considered missing, said the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko.

The Minister noted that information is received about the territories that have died in the territories controlled by the Russian Federation on the left bank of the Dnieper.

“You know that yesterday, when trying to move to the right bank of our citizens, we fired and three people died, somewhat injured. We monitor this information. As soon as we get confirmed information about the dead or wounded, who remained on the islands or on the left bank, We will officially publish this information, ”the minister emphasized.

According to him, in general, 46 settlements remained under water, from which 2,743 people were evacuated.

Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in the Kherson region of Ukraine was destroyed on the morning of June 6. The parties impose responsibility for the breakthrough of the dam.
