In the context of consistent social reforms in our country, there is a steady increase in the minimum wage. In particular, as a result of the reforms carried out in 2019, the minimum wage has almost doubled, the press service of the Ministry of Labor told haqqın.az.
These increases have made significant progress over the past three years to ensure that the ratio of the net minimum wage to the net average monthly wage in our country is in line with international standards.
The ratio was 26.5% in 2018 and 33.3% in 2019. In 2020, the ratio of the net minimum wage to the net average monthly wage increased to 38%. Thus, in 2018-2020 this indicator increased by 11.5%.
