Increasing wages has become an important direction of consistent social reforms held in Azerbaijan over the past four years, the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population said.
According to the report, during this period, the minimum salary was increased 2.3 times – up to 300 manat. The average monthly salary increased by 41 percent – to 768 manat, median salary – by 85 percent, up to 410 manat.
The ratio of the minimum and median wages to the average monthly salary increased from 24 to 40 percent and from 41 to 53 percent, respectively.
