Minsk And Kazan Became Twin Cities

Minsk and Kazan became twin cities. The agreement on the establishment of twin -handed relations and cooperation was signed in the Minsk City Hall during a visit to Belarus of a delegation from the capital of Tatarstan, BelTA reports.

Signatures under the document were set by the chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee of Minsk Vladimir Kukharev and the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.

As Vladimir Kukharev noted, the agreement will give an impetus to the development of relations in all areas. “We have no closed topics. We see good prospects for cooperation. We can work out new directions together. Our main task is to work with youth so that they can communicate, interact with each other,” said the chairman of the Ministry of City Executive Committee.

Ilsur Metshin, in turn, emphasized that he was glad to visit the Belarusian capital – a city with a rich history. “I want to congratulate Minsk on the results that Minsk is one of the examples of modern urbanism, successful urban management. This experience deserves not only respect, but also study,” said the mayor of Kazan.

A delegation from the capital of Tatarstan arrived in Minsk on December 4. The parties discussed the expansion of trade ties and the creation of joint production, cooperation in the humanitarian sphere.

At the meeting, we discussed the organization of the days of Kazan in Minsk and the days of Minsk in Kazan, the exchange of delegations. Kazan became the 37th gathering city of Minsk.
