President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev conducted an open dialogue with entrepreneurs.
The head of state in his appeal noted that the Uzbek businessmen had to face such factors as a violation of logistics and the supply chain due to various conflicts, the devaluation of the currency of partner countries, the rise in financial resources due to high world inflation.
“I believe that if we remove the right lessons from the shortcomings and move forward, our hardworking and enterprising people will definitely overcome any difficulties,” said the head of state.
He emphasized that the most correct way out in such a difficult situation is to hear about problems directly from business representatives themselves and find a solution together.
As the President noted, medium -sized business is an important part of the economy of Uzbekistan, but now the conditions for him are not enough. Therefore, new approaches will be introduced to support entrepreneurs who want to move from small businesses to average.
It was decided to radically change the ways of operating existing business support funds. The Entrepreneurship Fund will now be responsible for the financial support of service, environmental and energy -efficient projects, and the Industrial Development Fund for industrial projects.
To manage funds, it was decided to invite qualified foreign managers.
The funds are also endowed with the authority to attract independent investments in addition to budget funds. It is planned that in this way they will bring an additional $ 1 billion to finance medium -sized businesses over the next year.
In each region, at least 3 new industrial zones will be created. An industrial mortgage system will be introduced, and production space will begin to be built in the form of a “finished business” for entrepreneurs. The privatization of land will be allowed after the launch of production in industrial zones and the fulfillment of investment obligations.
