The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved an international agreement with Kyrgyzstan on crossing the border on an ID card. This was reported on the website of the National Database of Uzbekistan Lex.uz.
According to the document, the Kyrgyzstanis and Uzbeks can officially fly, go or go across the border without a passport and stamps, but the ID card will be needed to certify the personality in electronic form. The new rules will affect the air travel.
Note that the decree signed by Shavkat Mirziyoyev does not yet introduce a simplified regime, but implies its approval and preparation for the work of the border according to the new rules.
The agreement on the simplified movement of the population of the two neighboring countries was reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Bishkek this year.
