Mirziyoyev and Gutherrish agreed on development of “road map”

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met in New York with the UN Secretary General Antoniu Gutherrish.

According to the presidential press service, the parties considered the prospects for further expansion of UNS Cooperation with the UN, primarily on the implementation of national tasks and goals in the field of sustainable development. With satisfaction, the achievement of an unprecedentedly high level of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN in recent years was noted.

GUERRORISH gave high the performance of the President of Uzbekistan at the 78th session of the General Assembly, emphasizing the support of the program of irreversible reforms in the country, as well as the importance of voiced proposals and initiatives to solve urgent global and regional problems.

Secretary General especially noted the scale of the goals and objectives of the new reform strategy “Uzbekistan – 2030”, its complete consonance of sustainable development goals. Gutherrish expressed the readiness of the UN and all its institutions in the promotion of the practical implementation of this software document.

Following the results of negotiations, an agreement was reached on the development of a “road map” in the priority areas of deepening a full -scale partnership between Uzbekistan and the UN.
