Mirzoyan about normalizing relations with Ankara

Yerevan is ready to complete normalization of relations with Ankara and the restoration of the world between countries.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan following negotiations in Ankara with the Turkish colleague Mevlut Chavushol.

“While in this difficult period in Turkey, I would like to assure again in our readiness to restore peace in the region, as well as to complete normalization of relations with Turkey to establish diplomatic relations with it,” he said.

The Foreign Minister also said that the countries intend to jointly repair the Anni bridge on the border of Armenia and Turkey.

In turn, the head of the Turkish foreign policy noted that he reached agreements with Mirzoyan on accelerating the process of preparing infrastructure to open a ground message between the two countries.

“both sides have the results of analysis and inspections of roads and bridges near the border crossings. Work is underway, there are steps that we will take relative to the border checkpoints of roads. We have agreed today to speed up the adoption of these measures,” said Chavushol.

He recalled that this route is a historical silk way and its restoration will be important.
