In the coming days, the chairman of the Association of Sports Organizations of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan Nadir Aliyev and the director of the Mahsul stadium Alik Hasanov, accused of fraud, will appear before the court.
As the Haqqin.az correspondent reports, the investigation in the criminal case of Aliyev and Gasanov is completed. The materials are sent for investigation in the Baku court for serious crimes. Judge Farid Namazov will conduct the case. Five people were recognized as victims of the case – Rauf Ismailov, Dadash Umbatov, Khabib Zulfugarov, Elchin Rustamov and Yusif Velikhanov.
According to the indictment, Nadir Aliyev and Alik Hasanov illegally put up the territory of the stadium for 5 and a half million manat for sale. From entrepreneurs who wanted to purchase this site, they took 900 thousand manat in the form of an advance and under the pretext of giving a bribe to officials of the Confederation.
The investigation found that Gasanov in the same way could sell the stadium to another entrepreneur for 8 million manat, for which, under the guise of giving a bribe, officials and maintaining the relevant documentation appropriated 360 thousand manat.
Nadir Aliyev and Alik Gasanov are found guilty under Articles 178.4 (fraud with causing especially large damage) and 32.4, 312.1 (incitement to giving a bribe) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
