The state of emergency in Moldova will be extended for another 45 days, starting from June 24. This proposal was approved on Tuesday by the Emergency Situations Commission.
The Russian BBC service reports that the commission explained the need to extend the emergency with” the preserved risks for the country’s energy security, borders’ security, and the need to further manage refugee flows from Ukraine. “
The state of emergency in Moldova was introduced after Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24 for a period of 60 days. In April, the emergency mode was extended by parliament for another 60 days.
