The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Nick Popescu said in an interview with foreign media that the country’s authorities are discussing issues of Western weapons purchases.
The head of the Moldavian Foreign Ministry posted on Thursday a post in his Telegram channel, in which he said that during his visit to the Czech Republic he told in an interview with radio that the country’s authorities would continue to promote reforms and converge with the EU.
Later, Moldovan Telegram channels brought the Minister’s advanced quote about possible Western military supplies to the republic.
“there are such discussions, they are conducted inside the country relative to the next steps in how we adapt to a more threatening geopolitical environment, but we do not discuss in specific terms at this stage about the supply of NATO lethal weapons. When the government makes a decision, it will report to everyone, what plans he has, ”said Popescu.
