The Moldova Parliament rejected the vote of the distrust of the activities of the Moldovan government, Moldavian media reported on Friday.
On the night of December 13, the Moldova Parliament examined the Votum of Normentalism of Dorin Republic, who nominated the Bloc of the Communists and Socialists. The Votum of Dorrotion failed – only 18 deputies voted for it from the Bloc of the Communists and Socialists, 55 deputies from the ruling party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) voted against. One deputy from PAS and the Bloc of Communists and Socialists abstained from voting.
Earlier, the Party of Socialists (PSRM) announced on November 29 that it initiated a vote of no confidence in the government. The formation was accused of the Cabinet of Ministers, led by Prime Minister Dorin Republic of “inability to take effective measures to protect citizens and the country’s economy.”
“In recent months, we have witnessed the disastrous policy of the Cabinet of Ministers, which led to the next increase in energy tariffs. These decisions have caused an increase in inflation, aggravate socio-economic instability and inevitably entail a further increase in prices for goods and Services, ”said the PSRM, adding that they have already prepared all the documents necessary for the government’s resignation.
During the plenary meeting, Prime Minister Dorin Republic presented a report on government actions in various fields.
Speaking about the government’s action plan for the cold season, Prime Minister Dorin Republic, who also temporarily headed the Ministry of Energy, emphasized that Moldova was “ready for several scenarios of the cold season” and that consumers on the right bank of the Dniester will not suffer from the energy crisis.
The vote of distrust is an instrument of parliamentary control carried out by parliament over the government.
According to the regulations of the parliament, a vote of distrust can be introduced at least 26 deputies, and a minimum of 51 votes is needed for the government.
