Sandu made relevant statements during the election debate on the public television channel Moldova1, reports Moldipres.
The head of state said that in the first round of elections there were also protest voices. In her opinion, the problem lies in “purchased” rather than protest voices.
“Of course, there were protest voices, and we know the reasons for these protest voices. The problem is in the bought voices, and not in the voices of protest. Democracy is support and a protest vote. And yes, we made many mistakes, even if our intentions were there There were a lot of crises, and there were people who did better, and there were people who did it worse for various reasons, where there are problems with the incidence, I must never limit their word. or other institutions in the implementation of their work, when it comes to incidence.
The Head of State promised to make a shift in the Government team in case of re -election. “Yes, I think that we need to make changes in the team of leadership of the country. I heard citizens, talked with them in many settlements, heard what are the requirements and especially in which areas people expect, that everything will be done better,” said candidate for the post of head of state.
On the debate on public television, Moldova 1 came only Maya Sandu. The presenter Rada Osipov said that the candidate from the socialists, Alexander Stoyanoglo, did not accept the invitation.
In the first round of the presidential election on October 20, the candidate from the PDS Maya Sandu gained 42.49 percent of the vote. PSRM candidate Alexander Poyanoglo received 25.95 percent of the vote. The second round of the presidential election will be held on Sunday, November 3.
