Most of the Moldovan voters supported the European path of the republic. This was stated at a briefing by Maya Sandu running for the second presidential term.
Thus, the head of state commented on the results of the presidential and referendum held on the eve of the EU entry into the EU.
According to the CEC, after processing 99.4% of the protocols from the European integration sites, 50.42% of voters supported, 49.58% of Moldavians opposed.
“The people of Moldova expressed their will, and most citizens supported the European path,” said Sandu at a briefing.
The politician also thanked everyone who took part in the elections and referendum, “saving the path to progress.”
