The Republic of Moldova signed an association agreement to participate in the EU Unified EU program, Moldupres reports.
The program is designed to prepare both the private sector and state institutions for European rules and standards, offering a more consistent financing structure to strengthen access to a single European market.
Moldova President Maya Sandu said the program will expand the access of Moldavian goods and services to European markets. According to her, the signing of the agreement is an important step towards the gradual integration of the country into a single EU market and a firm commitment to modernization and bringing the republic into line with European norms. “A competitive and strong economy means well -paid work at home and a higher standard of living of citizens,” said Sandu.
As noted in the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the signing of the Agreement will allow the Republic of Moldova to increase the possibilities and standards of compliance with the rules of the EU domestic market, increase the competitiveness and stability of SMEs, promote new opportunities for business and develop industrial value chains in order to ensure efficient work of trade through trade the introduction of high -quality European and international standards and ensure a high level of consumer protection and product safety.
