Mongolia Celebrates Day Of State Flag

Mongolia on Wednesday, July 10 celebrates the Day of the State Flag. According to Montsame, on the occasion of the holiday on the central square of Ulan Bator, a military parade was held dedicated to the 2233rd anniversary of the creation of the first statehood in Mongolia, the 818th anniversary of the formation of the Great Mongol Empire, the 113th anniversary of the restoration of national freedom and independence, 103rd The anniversary of the People’s Revolution and the Day of the State Flag of Mongolia.

The military parade was attended by more than 1,500 military personnel of 15 military and law enforcement agencies.

Since 2008, in July of each year, Mongolia celebrates the “State Flag Day” in order to manifest respect for the national flag, which is a symbol of the Mongol state, as well as strengthening national unity.

The current state flag of Mongolia was adopted on February 12, 1992. The state flag of Mongolia consists of three vertical stripes of red, blue and again red.

Red color symbolizes progress and prosperity, blue – the sky. In the center of the left red strip is a state symbol of yellow color.

In the upper part of the red strip, at the flag jacket, there is a sign of golden -shaped soimbo, which is a symbol of invariability and constancy. In general, the emblem personifies freedom and independence.
