Mongolia: First Training Was Held As Part Of Russian-Mongol Teachings “Selenga-2024”

In Mongolia, the first joint training was held in the framework of the Russian-Mongol teachings “Selenga-2024”. This is stated in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Joint Russian-Mongol military exercises “Selenga-2024” opened in Mongolia on the territory of the field camp near the city of Choibalsan.

The department recalled that for the first time this year, the intensity doctors involved units of the ground forces, the airborne forces and the special purpose of the Armed Forces of Russia and Mongolia with a total number of about 700 people and about 200 units of military equipment. Among the aerospace forces this year, fighter, assault and army aviation is involved this year.

“The United Staff of the leadership of the exercise agreed on the uniform control signals for both sides. Motor rifle units worked out a joint offensive with deployment in a combat line with the set speed of combat vehicles,” the statement said.

“For the first time in the Russian-Mongolian exercises, FPV thrones were used. Almost all types of troops were involved in these exercises. The military personnel of both parties act harmoniously and organizedly,” said Adam Matsiev’s chief of staff in turn.

The upcoming joint flight tactical tasks for the crews of the Army Aviation Air Force and the Air Force of Mongolia were also worked out. In addition, for the first time, special units were diverted with airborne assault from the Mi -8 AMTsh helicopters, the department noted.

The Russian-Mongol teachings of “Selenga” have been held annually since 2008.
