Montenegro fulfilled the obligations that prohibit the aircraft of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for a visit to Serbia. This was announced on Tuesday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Ranko Krivokapich.
“Montenegro, banning the flight of the Lavrov aircraft, fulfilled the obligations, such a decision was inevitable,” RTTCG Broadcasting of Monteneravia quoted the Words of Crowning Power.
According to the minister, he was surprised by a violent reaction to such a decision, adding that Lavrov could reach Belgrade by train, since “Railway message on the Belgrade -Moscow route is not prohibited.”
Answering the question of who decided to close the airspace of Montenegro for Lavrov, Krivokapich noted that formally the decision was made by the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, Interfax notes.
