Moody’s raised ABB bank ratings

The Moody’s International rating agency revised the ABB bank ratings, in particular, the main credit assessment (BCA) and deposit ratings of the bank were revised and increased.

Thus, the BCA bank rating was increased from B2 to B1, and the ABB rating for long -term deposits was increased from B1 to BA3. The forecast of the long -term deposit rating of the bank was defined as “stable.”

Positive changes in the bank ratings are mainly due to an increase in the sovereign rating of Azerbaijan, as well as a high coefficient of sufficiency of ABB capital, the average risk of its assets and a high liquidity balance. The bank has a high buffer capital in case of influence of external factors. An increase in the long -term deposit rating is associated with the positive solvency of the bank ABB.

Moody’s predicts a further improvement in the business capabilities and profitability of local banks, including ABB Bank against the background of increasing general economic activity in the country. In conclusion, it is also noted that ABB ratings may further be improved parallel to the continuous development of the financial position.
