In total, since 1991, 1 million 126.5 thousand ethnic Kazakhs returned to the republic. The quota of receiving kandasas in the regions of resettlement for 2023 is 2,337 people. As of December 1, 2023, 2 053 kandasa was relocated to the resettlement regions.
Kandas – ethnic Kazakh and (or) members of his family of Kazakh nationality, who previously not consisted of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who arrived at the historical homeland and received the appropriate status in the manner prescribed by the Law “On the Migration of the Population”.
