Morocco meteorological services confirmed that a new temperature record was installed in the country this week, local media reports.
According to information, last Friday the air warmed up to 50.4 degrees Celsius at a meteorological station in Agadir in the south of Morocco. It is noted that for the first time in the history of meteorological observations in the country, the temperature exceeded 50 degrees.
The previous national record was considered to be a 49.9 degree of Celsius, recorded on July 13 of this year in the city of SMAR.
